The San Francisco Film Society is accepting requests for accreditation for the 2009 San Francisco International Film Festival (April 23–May 7) from film industry professionals, representatives of media arts organizations and filmmakers. Accreditation provides a variety of benefits including access to screenings, events, networking opportunities, and specialized Festival services.

Celebrating 52 years, the San Francisco International Film Festival, the oldest in the Americas, is internationally renowned for its adventurous programming and sophisticated audiences. The SFIFF is recognized as an excellent platform for new independently produced narrative features, documentaries, shorts, animations, television productions, experimental films and youth-produced works from across the country and around the world.

The 2009 Festival will showcase 160 works and host more than 200 filmmaker and industry guests.

There are three types of accreditation available for the 2009 Festival: Network, Industry and Festival Pro. Availability is limited.

2009 INDUSTRY ACCREDITATION
For professionals from acquisitions, sales, distribution and exhibition organizations.

2009 Network Accreditation
Fee: $25
• Delegate welcome packet including 2009 SFIFF program guide and attendee contact lists
• Access to the SFIFF52 Hospitality Lounge and use of its facilities (wi-fi, mailboxes, lounge area) during regular business hours
• Invitation to happy hours and after-hours events at the SFIFF52 Hospitality Lounge
• Invitation to the Golden Gate Awards May 6
• Priority line for public nonticketed events such as panels and Chronicle Chats
• Ticket purchases at discounted SFFS member rate

2009 Industry Accreditation
Fee: $50
All of the above, plus:
• Rights information on SFIFF52 films
• On-demand viewing of Festival selections in the SFIFF52 Media Center
• Complimentary tickets for SFIFF screenings and events (up to three per day, subject to availability)
• Invitations to private networking events, receptions and other social gatherings
• Complimentary copy of the 49th edition of the International Film Guide—the industry-recognized definitive source for world cinema news and reviews (a $40 value)

2009 Festival Pro Accreditation
For valid SFFS members at Filmmaker Pro or Filmmaker Boost level
Fee: $100
• Complimentary copy of the 2009 SFIFF program guide
• Complimentary copy of the 49th edition of the International Film Guide—the definitive, industry-recognized source for world cinema news and reviews ($40 value)
• Five Cinevouchers redeemable for tickets to regularly priced film screenings, subject to availability
• Invitation to the Golden Gate Awards May 6
• Priority line for public nonticketed events such as panels and Chronicle Chats
• Invitation to SFIFF52 Hospitality Lounge after-hours event
• Scheduled opportunities for professional discussions and seminars with Festival attendees and guests, SFFS staff and Bay Area professionals

Application for accreditation is open through Wednesday, April 17. Applications submitted after this deadline will be subject to a $25 late fee. If your application is approved, you will be contacted by the SFFS to process your application fee. Complete and submit your application using the online application form. Accreditation in all categories is granted at the sole discretion of the San Francisco Film Society. Badges are name-specific and nontransferable.

The 52nd San Francisco International Film Festival takes place April 23–May 7, 2009.
